This extended time ceramics class is perfect for students who want extra time to create a detailed ceramic project, such as a custom mug, personalized shadow box, or their own unique design. Over five sessions across two weeks, students will spend three class days building and refining their work using pinch pot, slab, and coil techniques. They will also explore slip trailing, texture, and finishing techniques to add decorative details and polished surfaces. Artists will have options to 3D print, carve or digitally design their own textures, images and patterns. During the final two sessions, students will glaze their creations with colorful finishing touches. With a slower pace and guidance, young artists can focus on craftsmanship, creativity, and bringing their artistic ideas to life.
All materials and supplies are included. Class size will be limited to 12 students, maximizing an individualized experience.
If you enroll for both AM and PM, you may bring a lunch and stay on site 9am-2pm.
